Pengaruh Pertumbuhan Vegetatif Tanaman Tebu Hitam (Saccharum sp.) terhadap Pupuk Urea

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving the best urea fertilizer for black sugarcane vegetative growth and the effective dose of urea fertilizer can increase black sugarcane vegetative growth. The research was carried out in the experimental field of the East Luwu, from February to April 2023. The research method used was a randomized block design consisting of 6 treatments which were repeated 4 times so that there were 24 experimental units. The results showed that the application of various doses of urea had no significant effect on the vegetative growth of black sugarcane on all parameters, namely plant height, stem diameter and leaf area. The best results on the plant height parameter were found in the P3 treatment (30 grams of urea) with a value of 58.25 cm, stem diameter in the P2 treatment (20 grams of urea) with an average value of 3 cm , leaf area in treatment P1 (10 grams of urea) with an average value of 2.25 cm. This is presumably because the application of urea fertilizers cannot meet the needs of sugarcane plants
