Perbedaan Tingkah Laku Cempe Kambing Perah yang Dipelihara tanpa Induk dan dengan Induk

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkah laku cempe kambing perah yang dipelihara dengan induk dan tanpa induk di Pusaka Farm Sumedang. Sepuluh ekor cempe berumur 1-2 bulan dikelompokkan menjadi P1: dengan induk dan P2: tanpa induk. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 25 hari pada pagi dan sore dengan durasi 1 jam. Metode pengamatan dilakukan dengan observasi langsung pada lima parameter tingkah laku yaitu durasi menyusu, oral behaviour, vokalisasi, durasi tidur, dan respon terhadap manusia dan diukur menggunakan skala skoring, yang kemudian di uji t-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perilaku oral behaviour, vokalisasi, dan respon terhadap manusia berbeda signifikan (P<0,05), sementara durasi menyusu dan tidur tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Cempe tanpa induk menunjukkan kecenderungan stres sosial lebih tinggi melalui perilaku eksplorasi dan ketergantungan terhadap manusia. Temuan ini penting dalam mendukung strategi pemeliharaan cempe berbasis kesejahteraan hewan. Oleh karena itu, penerapan sistem pemeliharaan tanpa induk disarankan untuk disertai pengelolaan lingkungan, pemisahan secara bertahap dan interaksi sosial yang memadai guna meminimalkan stres dan mendukung kesejahteraan cempe.
